FAQ

Shipping costs vary per country. We apply one shipping rate per country, so whether you buy one product or twenty-five items, the applied shipping rate for your country of residence stays the same.

If you enter your destination country in the checkout screen, the shipping costs will be shown immediately.

Shipping costs are free if the order amounts to one hundred euros (€100) or more and the delivery address is in the Netherlands.

Shipping costs are also free if the order amounts to one hundred and twenty-five euros (€125) or more and the delivery address is in Belgium or Germany.

If your delivery address is outside the Netherlands, please provide a telephone number. This will enable the carrier to contact you should any questions or problems arise.

Certainly. We are one of the biggest sellers of vintage toys and are constantly on the lookout for new stock. If you have any items for sale, please send an email to [email protected], and include high quality photos of the item and information on your asking price.

We will then determine a price based on market value, product condition and completeness and our own stock. Naturally, our margin will also be taken into account. It is also possible to exchange items with us. The value will also be determined on the basis of the aforementioned requirements.

All items listed on our website are items which are currently in stock. When payment has been received, your order will be dispatched within twenty four hours. When your package has been created, you will automatically receive an email containing a track and trace number and a link which you can use to follow your order status.

If payment has been received before 16:00, Old School Toys dispatches all orders on the same working day (Monday to Saturday). These are then collected by Post NL on the same day. From this point on, delivery times are determined by the carrier.

You will receive a copy of the invoice digitally. For environmental reasons, we restrict use of printed paper. After placing your order, you will immediately receive an email. This is your order confirmation, and includes your details and information on all the items you have ordered. This will include all item prices and any shipping costs. You will receive the invoice as an attachment to this email.

We are not a wholesaler, so we do not have a business customer file. If however, an order is for a company you can state the company name and VAT number in the comments field. This is sufficient for the tax authorities.

We do have a large range of second hand items; these items exclude VAT.

You have the right to cancel your order(s) up to fourteen (14) days after receipt, without providing a reason.

After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return your item(s). You will then be credited the full amount according to our terms and conditions. The costs of returning an item from your location to Old School Toys is at your own expense. These costs are approximately seven euros and twenty-five cent (€7.25) per package. Please consult your carrier’s website for the exact current rates. 

If you exercise your right of withdrawal, the product will be returned to Old School Toys with all delivered accessories and - where possible - in its original condition and packaging. If the product is damaged or the packaging is unnecessarily damaged, which reduces the prospect of reselling the product, we may pass this reduction in value on to you. With this in mind, please treat the product with the utmost care and make sure it is boxed properly and securely packed when returning it. For each item that is returned, an amount of 0.50 euros will be deducted from the return amount.

To exercise this right of withdrawal, please contact us at [email protected]. We will then refund the total order amount within fourteen (14) days of reporting your order return, provided the returned product has already been received and is in good condition.

If a return is made for which the cause is not Old School Toys then the shipping costs will not be refunded. If free shipping has taken place because the total amount has reached a certain limit, the shipping costs that should have been paid will be deducted from the return amount, because in this case there is after all no amount achieved to qualify for free shipping.

We want to ensure the best customer care and provide the highest quality service. However, minor damage to packaging, paint defects or folds on comic pages are not covered by the free returns policy. Major damage to an item will always be listed on the product information page.

We have a huge range of Funko Pop products. We are also avid collectors and understand that the item and packaging must be in the best condition possible. Funko is a mass produced item and is manufactured in low-wage countries. It is therefore not considered a high-end collectible. As a result, paintwork or blemishes may be visible on the figure itself. The packaging is also fairly fragile so minor damage may occur. For these types of defects, the product may be returned at any time and item will be refunded, but the return costs are at the expense of the buyer; these costs are not covered by our returns procedure. Naturally, major defects will be listed on the product page and deducted from the price.

Old School Toys is not a “toy shop" but a collectable store, so the lion’s share of the items are not intended for children. These items are also produced with the adult collector in mind. If you remove a figure from its packaging and want to change its pose, never force it as it may prove difficult to do so at first. A helpful tip is to immerse the stiff part of the figure in hot water, leave it for a while and then carefully move the part until it moves smoothly. This applies particularly to Neca and Hasbro products. If an item should break due to “forced” use, it may not be returned and refunded.

Figures are often packaged in a plastic bubble attached to a backing card. This card often has a hook at the top which allows it to hang on the store shelf. If there is no hole in the card, this is referred to as an “unpunched” card. The opposite is known as a “punched” card. Old School Toys does not distinguish between unpunched and punched cards, and this also does not entitle you to free returns.

Neca has changed their packaging. Instead of using a plastic “hanger” to hang items on a store shelf, these are now made of cardboard and form a single material packaging. Unfortunately, this can regularly cause small cracks to appear on this hanger. This cannot be prevented and does not entitle you to free returns.

Old School Toys is a collector’s store and most of our customers are collectors who store items in unopened packaging. Once the packaging has been opened, the value dramatically decreases. If you return an opened package, we may pass this depreciation amount for the product on to you. With this in mind, please treat the product with the utmost care and make sure it is boxed properly and securely packed when returning it.

We also sell many loose items; these are second hand items that have been unpacked. As we never test electronic components, we are unable to provide any guarantee on them. The same applies to items which include spring mechanisms. If electrical or spring components do not work, this does not entitle you to a free return or discount.

Lighter plastic product parts frequently discolour due to age; this is a process that cannot be prevented. These items are not covered by our free returns policy.

Old School Toys is a collector’s store and therefore sells many vintage items. Some items may be decades old. We frequently sell items which have battery operated functions and already include a battery. Naturally, we do not re-open already opened packages. Unfortunately, batteries start leaking over time, which can sometimes cause irreparable damage. This is a fact we cannot change and means we cannot offer returns on these items.

If loose items are sold and a part is missing, this will always be stated in the product information. If a sticker is missing or there is a paint defect, this will not be stated. This does not entitle you to a free return or discount.

We insure over sixty percent (60%) of all shipments within the Netherlands and one hundred percent (100%) of all shipments sent to an address outside the Netherlands. We provide this service for the security of the buyer and ourselves. If an item incurs damage during the shipping process provided by the carrier, you must always keep the packaging used (the box and any padding material). The carrier’s insurance policy will only reimburse the cost of the order if photos of the box, original label and padding material are provided. If you no longer have these materials, we will be unable to use this insurance and be unable to reimburse you.

Requests to send only the best quality item or packaging will not be responded to. It’s possible to visit our physical store to view items prior to purchase.

If you have placed an order but have changed your mind, please respond as quickly as possible. If the order has not yet been collected by Post NL, it may be prevented from being sent out to them.

If an order is made, we will prepare it for delivery immediately, which costs time and resources. Every transaction costs a specific amount, while every cancellation involves correspondence and administration time and costs too. With this in mind, we are therefore required to charge an additional two euros (€2) for each cancellation. This will be deducted from the total amount to be returned.

If there are special items included in the order that we do not regularly sell, these cannot be cancelled and you are obliged to continue with the purchase at the agreed amount.

If payment has been made by PayPal or credit card, the extra costs for using this service will not be refunded, as these costs were incurred for the payment.

We never provide refunds on credit cards, as this costs twenty five euros (€25) per transaction. If payment has been made by credit card, any refund will be made via another payment method.

We have a large range of comics. Envelope postage costs are automatically applied to orders up to and including seven standard comics, for delivery in the Netherlands.

For all other items, we only ship via track and trace services, to ensure security for the buyer and ourselves. If you purchase an item that fits into an envelope, we will also send this via track and trace.

Shipping costs are ten euros (€10) per order. It is then sent as an insured item, with both track and trace and recorded delivery.

If the order is in excess of one hundred and twenty-five euros (€125), shipping costs are free.

In Belgium, there are a lot of housenumbers including the term “bus” followed by a number. The Belgian postal service checks this additional information extremely carefully. If the word “bus" is not included, and only the number of the “bus" is provided, there is a chance that the postal service will return the package to the sender. Very frustrating and annoying; unfortunately we cannot control this process.

If required, always mention the word “bus” in the additional postal information. Otherwise, if something goes wrong, the cost of resending an item is at the expense of the buyer.

We never provide refunds on credit cards, as this costs twenty five euros (€25) per transaction. If payment has been made by credit card, any refund will be made via another payment method. Apple Pay works with a credit card, so this also applies to this

This is quick and easy to do. Use the green “add to shopping basket” button on the product page to place an item in your virtual shopping basket. If you are ready to complete your order, check out by clicking on the shopping basket icon at the top right and you will be taken straight to our checkout screen. For your convenience, all information has been placed on one page to ensure you can complete checkout quickly and easily.

If something goes wrong during the payment process, the ordered items will be taken temporarily offline. After ten minutes they be available online again, meaning you can place your order. Please do not transfer the payment yourself, as this will not be processed administratively or in relation to stock quantities.

If something goes wrong during the payment process, the ordered items will be offline, but if the payment is reported to our payment provider as not completed, which usually takes between 15 and 45 minutes, the ordered items will automatically come back online and then you can place the order again.

Whenever this happens, do not transfer the payment yourself because then this will not be processed, both administratively and stock technically, then wait until the items are back online or send us an email or a message via our social media

No problem. Just enter this address into the delivery address field. Costs will obviously be higher if the order needs to be sent to an international address.

We do not ship to Post NL pick-up locations. Unfortunately, in this instance, mistakes have been made too often, so we no longer offer this option. As a rule, if nobody is present at the delivery address at the time of delivery, the parcel is always sent to the Post NL pick-up location, closest to the delivery address. Nowadays, carriers no longer leave a missed delivery message in the letterbox; you will be notified by email instead. So make sure the email address you provide is correct.

We do not deliver to hotels and holiday parks.

Our procedure is that all orders, for which payment has been received by 16:00, will be dispatched on the same working day.

Should you wish the item(s) to be dispatched at a later date, this can only be done in the following way:

Pay for your order using the payment option “prepay by bank transfer”; this is the first payment option. Then you can pay for the order on the day you want it to be shipped, to ensure that payment is received before 16:00. This order will then be shipped on the same day and delivered the following day.

Please note: we have no control over Post NL operations; once the parcel reaches Post NL, we no longer have any control over delivery procedures and times.

If you only add a comment requesting delivery of your order on a specific day, we cannot and will not comply with this request.

If an order fails to arrive, please notify us as soon as possible.

As a rule, orders shipped to the Netherlands and Belgium are delivered the day after payment and dispatch, excluding orders shipped on Saturday. These are usually delivered the following Tuesday.

If you still haven’t received your order after three days, please let us know.

If an undelivered order is reported after fourteen (14) days, we will certainly do our best to locate the order but will no longer be responsible for it. No refunds will be made in the case of missing items.

A physical Old School Toys store was opened on 23 March 2014. All the items we offer online can be found in-store.

You can order online and follow standard online procedures. When you reach the payment screen, simply select the “pay and collect in-store” option and the ordered items will be immediately taken offline and registered. We will then save them for you. You can collect your order on the next day that the store is open. We will save these ordered items for fourteen (14) days, after which, if they are not collected, they will go back on sale.

We are extremely proud of our unique store, which is the largest Star Wars store in Europe.

The store is located in Horst’s shopping district (10 minutes from Venlo) and offers several large parking spaces.

Our address is Kerkstraat 26, 5961 GD in Horst.

As we are regular exhibitors at conventions and collector/trade fairs, the store will occasionally be closed in relation to these events.

No, we are not a trading site for third parties. We only buy and sell for our own purposes. If you have an item or items of interest, please follow the procedure mentioned under Article 1.

No, Old School Toys has a wide range of new and second-hand collectables. Many of our items come directly from the supplier but we also sell many second-hand items. We sell items in closed packaging, in opened packaging and without packaging. So make sure you read the item description carefully.

To give an example, we have a large number of items in our Star Wars range which are listed in the category “opened packaging”. Unopened items are listed in the “in box” category. Opened items are listed in the “and box” category. And in the category “complete or incomplete", complete items without original packaging are listed.

All comics we sell are from second-hand fairs and markets.

We also sell vintage items. Some items were manufactured in 1978 and are therefore very old. These items are obviously no longer brand new, unless we have items for sale that are still sealed.

There are also items that include electronic and motor functions. We do not test these functions, nor are we responsible if they no longer function as described.

Old School Toys uses catalogue photos. For certain products, we have dozens of duplicate items in stock. If an item differs significantly from the photo, we will state this in the item description. If the item you have received is unsatisfactory, please contact us.

For vintage items in sealed packaging or items in opened packaging, we do take photos of each individual item, as we are aware that a true collector wants to see what they are actually buying.

If you are looking for an item we do not currently stock, please let us know. We will then search for this item for you. Some items will be found quickly, while others are more scarce and will take much longer to track down. Please provide your highest price offer. Hopefully, we will soon be able to fulfil your request and leave you feeling extremely happy.

We also sell comics, including many vintage titles as well as newer ones. All our comics are second hand; if the comic is damaged or has any major defects, we will state this in the listing information. We work with stock photos; we only scan images of high value vintage comics. This will also be stated in the item description.

We do not offer a grading system for comics. If you are a collector who only wants the rarest and coolest editions, please email us in advance. This will avoid any potential problems arising later on. 

Dutch comics have a lower collector's value than American comics, which means the criterion for assessments is also lower than for American comics. With all our items, if you are a consciously critical collector, it is wiser to come and view the comics in our physical store so that you can judge the quality for yourself.

All our standard comics are bagged and boarded.

Of course, this is no problem at all. If you would like to send an order to your work address, please clearly state the name of the company alongside your desired delivery address. If this information is not provided, and it results in the order not being successfully delivered, any additional shipping costs will be at the expense of the buyer.

All prices are subject to printing and typographical errors. We do not accept any liability for the consequences of printing and typographical errors.

All prices on the website are stated in euros (€), including 21% VAT and excluding shipping costs. When processing an order, the appropriate shipping costs will be applied.

We are entitled to adjust our prices at any time.

Offers are only valid as long as stocks last and during the indicated period.

Price reductions made after purchase do not entitle the customer to a refund.

OST coins stands for Old School Toys coins and is our loyalty program. You can earn OST coins and use them to get a discount on your next order.

You need to create an account from Old School Toys and log in before placing an order. For every 10 euros you spend, you will get 1 OST coin. This only applies to items, not shipping costs. So if you buy 100 euros worth of items, you will get 10 OST coins.

To calculate your points, we always round to the nearest whole number.

Important note: Due to the high transaction fees charged by PayPal and Apple Pay payments, we cannot provide OST coins for orders paid by this payment method. We offer a wide range of other payment methods. All of our payment methods are safe and secure. So if you want to use our loyalty program, please choose one of the other payment methods.

Calculation examples:
If you buy a figure of 90 euros, and the shipping costs are 7 euros, you will pay a total of 97 euros. You earn points on the amount of 90 euros. So this purchase will earn you 9 OST coins as soon as your order is shipped.

OST coins are not issued on discounted items.

If you want to save OST coins in our physical store, you must have an account and you must report this at the cash register before paying. Your account will then be looked up and the OST coins will be credited immediately.

We have the right not to provide OST coins on all items

In 2024 the redeem system will go live, then we will also communicate how you can redeem the OST coins.

We have chosen to start collecting the OST coins in advance so that hopefully you will have collected a nice number of OST coins when the redemption system goes online.

OST coins have an expiration date. You can see this in your Old School Toys account. All your OST coins will expire 6 months after you placed your last order with us. So the bottom line is that if you order regularly, your points will never expire. After all, it is a loyalty program.

Once your points expire, they are gone forever. This is irreversible. So always pay close attention to the expiration date of your OST coins.
